My Epilepsy Story.

My goodness, where do I even start? Let's start at the beginning. I was in 6th grade and my mother noticed something was off. Like at the time "mentally". I was very wacky than I am today as some people describe me as I hear (because of my makeup I'm assuming, but honestly who knows.) This was in 2017 when I was at a toxic school setting. I didn't know anyone, my anxiety was high, and the school system did NOT take my family seriously. So in October my mother pulled me out for numerous of assessments. Around Christmas time, brands were releasing advent calendars and my mom bought me a NYX lipstick calendar. I was obsessed with makeup, but my mom described me before my diagnosis as... you know I don't remember. But I was running around like a six year old with red lipstick on. So one day in December of 2017, my mom and I were driving to her appointment and I had a seizure (convulsive) on the highway in the middle of a blizzard. I was unconscious and talking to a police officer, don't know how that's possible, but anything in this world is possible unfortunately when it comes to some-things. I ended up in an ambulance with my mother and ended up at the local hospital. When I got professionally diagnosed I expected more from my school but I missed out on my own brain development in middle school. So basically I was good at school but they never logged my grades, and it took FOUR YEARS. That's...1460 days. I wish I could say more but unfortunately me speaking my truth is illegal. I hope this gives you a gist of what I've been through.
